$400+ Million Housing Project Seeks Contractors

GMH Military Housing conducted a contractors prequalification meeting for the Tinker AFB Housing Privatization Project in Oklahoma City on Thursday, January 24, 2007. Construction contractors may submit qualifications to:

Contractors interested in pursuing this project should complete a "Prequalification Questionnaire" and fax it to Balfour Beatty at the fax number listed above.

The multi-year project was described in the November 9, 2007 of the Tinker Take Off (Tinker AFB's base newspaper) as follows:

"At Tinker, the developer was asked to remove 432 inadequate units, renovate 262 existing homes and construct 398 new homes for an end state of 660 units. Renovation of existing military housing and construction of new units must be completed within the first seven years of the 50-year lease. Air Force officials anticipate closing on the AMC West project in April 2008.
The project is valued at more than $400 million."
